Here is my finds from this past weekend.

I went out on Friday for about 2 hours, Saturday was about 5 hours since I started detecting about 10:00am until 2:30pm, and I detected from Noon till 5:00pm on Sunday. If I would have put in a full weekend, I would have most likely doubled my finds since 2 of the 3 spots I stopped at were producing. I am hoping to get back to these spots next weekend and hopefully try where the old Horsetrack/Balldiamond was. It is in a farm field so I just have to get permission. Thanks again and Good Luck and HH.

The coin pin is pretty neat. I don't think that the coin was a rare one but it sure is a nice piece of history. Good Luck and HH.

Wow!! I thought I had a good day, but you put me to shame once again James. Nice finds again buddy...........:) Sure would like to find a place where I could get more than one barber all to myself. Maybe someday, but with this hobby getting more popular every day the clock is ticking for all of us.........:) HH.

This weekend was a pretty good one. It was about 60 degrees out on Sunday and it had to be somewhere in the upper 40's to lower 50's on Saturday. I had a total of about 12 hours this weekend and found the following finds. I am not sure what the total count for Silver is since I found a 40% also. The Silver finds were 1 Kennedy Half dated 1967 (that is the 40% Silver I was talking about), 2 Washington Quarters dated 1943-s and 1952-s, 3 Barber Dimes dated 1898,1902, and 1909, 4 Mercury Dimes dated 1919-s,1920-d,1936, and 1945, and 3 Roosevelt Dimes dated 1956-d,1961-d, and 1964-d. I found 1 V-Nickel dated 1905 also. I also found 2 Indian Heads in very good shape, which are dated 1901 and 1907. I found another 18 Wheat's dated 1910,1917,1918,1919,1920,1920-d,1924,1927-s,1929,1932-d,(2)1945-d,1946-d,(2)1948-d1953-s,1956-d, and 1958-d. Clad Coinage consisted of 20 Quarters, 28 Dimes, 1 Nickel, and 30 Pennies. I also found a Sterling Ring that has what appears to be some kind of Oriental Guy on it. If anyone knows what this is, feel free to let me know. I also found a few more finds which will be added below this post. Here is a really neat looking Pin I found. It was an 1889 10 Centavos Mexican Coin that has been cut out and fastened to a Copper Pin. It registered in at 26 on Digital and I thought it was either going to be a Screwcap or an Older Wheat. I was sure shocked to see Silver in the hole! I also found a Junk Ring and a Bracelet. The Bracelet registered at 6 on Digital. It has some crud on it and I am not sure if it is Gold yet or not. I will have to have it tested after I get the rest of the crud off it. It does have some weight to it so it could be 10k. I also found a few other things that include a Wells Fargo Agent Badge, a Baseball Pin, an old Bell, and a Pocket Watch back that has some nice designs on it and if you look hard enough, there is a Deer on it in the center. We'll, that just about does it until next weekend so Good Luck and HH to you all that make it out during the week.[attachment 39246 PinFront.jpg][attachment 39247 PinBack.jpg][attachment 39248 JunkRingandBracelet.jpg][attachment 39249 Misc..jpg]

another nice weekend and a nice group of silver and other goodies as well!! Definately like the coin pin too!!

You must put in a full weekend. You get some awesome stuff. Would be great to have a weekend with barbers and IHs!

But you found a Silver Dollar and that is way better than anything I found this weekend. And you say the clock is ticking for all of us since this hobby is getting more people involved. I'm not worrying just yet buddy, as Rick(ND) would say, "he's just too damn lucky"! The finds are still out there if you really want to find them. You just have to do a lot of research and that is where the virgin territories lie. Thanks again Eddie and I hope you have more luck at that Farmstead. Good Luck and HH.

I went back to the Park that gave up an 1893 Barber Dime and a few other good finds on Sunday and I just couldn't believe that there is still a good amount of nice older coins in this Park. It is in a town that is right next to a highway. And the good thing is, I have only detected about 1/8 or less of the Park so I think there is going to be many more nice finds yet to come. Funny thing is someone else has been there, I think 2 weekends ago. I seen a plug that I know wasn't mine and I swung the coil over the top of it and it sounded off. I opened it up and dug down deeper than it was previously dug and out popped a Silver Washington Quarter. I guess someone doesn't have a probe. Thanks again and Good Luck and HH.

The stuff I find most interesting is the old jewelry or coinage that has been mad into jewelry - You got a nice one there - and quit a variety of coins as well -
I usually limited to one or two old coins .. Hope the weather warms up for you - and good luck - as if ya need it....

All it takes is Research! But then again, it takes luck for you to find all your finds in a lake. And I wouldn't worry about you not finding many old coins, I'd rather have all the Gold that you have recovered this year. You Da Man MrChile! And thanks on the Coin Pin I found. It is one of my neatest finds yet. I hope you have continued success and Good Luck and HH.
