Here's a hunting story

Hunt 2010

Hunting season looked promising
Before the beginning of Fall
My feeder in a likely spot
And my stand, a full ten feet tall.

Camera placed in a nearby tree
For photos of what came around.
Scenes shown of White tail deer traffic
Was enough to make my heart pound

Two eight point bucks had been there
And a nine with a unique rack
Does and fawns in abundant groups
Came traveling along the track

One creature though took away my breath
It came from the dank wooded bog
Dark as midnight in a coal mine
A huge, long nosed, black feral hog

Good hunting trip. They are not to be played with thats for sure. My buddy hunts them with a pistol each year and we sure enjoy eating them all winter.
Those sure make an enjoyable read.

Here is a picture of my buddy Garys hog.

Sure has a nasty pair of tusk. None here where I am. Wish they were available for hunting. Tough little critters for sure. Nice porker. George-CT

At least not wild ones... We do have moose, elk, whities, mulies and bison.

So, I guess I can manage without the hogs

Texas is one of the best Hog Hunting states!!

The Carolinas have their share too along with parts of Florida.

Of course there are others, but these I know about.

Some of these critters can get pretty big!!

Imagine hunting them with a spear!

There are places in the world where it is still done so I've heard.

At this point in my life I would rather read about it!!

Good story Rusty,

CJ
