thought this blurb on them was interesting:
Gardner, "THE" bullet of the Confederacy
Two part bullet, pressed base lip gives the impression of inserted base, 2 grooves.
Strictly Confederate these were only made in the South and only during the war. Unlike many other bullets they were not used before or after the war, nor by northern units, there is no bullet more "Confederate" than this bullet.
