Here's Some More Finds With The Scorpion For The Last Couple Of Days After Work

Hit a soccer field after work yesterday & today using the Scorpion. After setting back the clocks for daylight savings time, the sun is gone by 5 PM. Luckily, there is no snow on the ground and the grass is still soft enough to work out the finds with a screwdriver.

Below are the best from today. I was hoping that the dragonfly broach would turn out to be silver, but it just didn't happen. It was just nice to be able to detect at this time of year. :)

Have you found most of the jewelry on any certain part of the fields or on the out of bounds areas? I just started on some soccer fields here but so far just some clad and no jewelry. Was hoping for some pointers from you. Thanks.

As a rule, the closer you detect towards center line, the fewer targets there are. I have found most of my rings closer to the goal posts, with several being within the goalies crease. I can remember at least 4 rings that I found on or beyond the sidelines. I have had more luck hunting sports fields at schools over large sports fields with several sports fields. My guess is that the school ones get used daily...the larger complex fields get used only on weekends. A lot of organized soccer has the coach reminding the players to remove jewellery prior to the game. Not so at schools....anything goes and lots gets lost.
