I got better then 500 hours in it now and about half way to completion. I figure another 500-600 hours left on her.I'm hoping to have it done by May and if thats the case, I will be putting in a lot of late nights hahahahahaha.

Awsome work Mike! I keep forgetting to bring my camera to my parents to take a picture of the battleship my grandfather built. It's pretty cool, but I don't think it is quite as finely detailed

like i was on the deck of the real maccoy. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> i lived less than two miles from the constitution and have only been on it once. <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?"> it was very impressive, and beautiful.im gonna try to get on it again this summer, unfortunetly the lower gun decks are closed off since 9-11. <img src="/metal/html/indifferent.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":|">

I've never been on the real ship, but I'm going to have to go up there and check it out since this is the second Connie I've built now. I built one for a CEO of a computer software corp in NJ & this one is being built for a CEO of an Insurance Corp in CT. I also have someone waiting for me to build them one.
I bought some wood from the real Constitution and incorporated it into This model and the earlier model so they would have a part of the real ship in it. model enthusiasts go nuts over that kind of stuff.
Thanks again,
Mike
