I'm harvestin some broccoli today .......................[attachment 130003 IMGP7079.JPG]
annd.....what i read about blanchin it says to boil fer 3 minutes and ice water fer 3 minutes then dry and freeze.
I just steamed some fer about 3 minutes and it was perfect...deeeelicious even. droooool
Anywho, my question for you is......do you think that maybe boilin fer 3 minutes prior to the ice bath may cook it too much ?
I ask this because if 3 min. o' steamin made it perfect, wouldn't 3 min. of boilin and then adding whatever time it takes to reheat after thawin later cook it too much ?
I 'preciate yer expert cook type opinion.
