I found this after a hunt where another "gold" ring was found by a friend. Hopefully he'll post his find also(I sent a PM Lucky Dig).

I went to a hammered playground. I know it is hammered because I hammered it.:)

I had no intentions to go hunting again -I was beat frankly-but my girls wanted to hit the playground & who was I to argue.

Almost zero on the coins...But I found this ring & an old piece of tin type depicting Polo players(wich has a history in my family..)

But I'm almost certain the ring is junk-but whoever lost it took the trouble to have it re-sized & probably thought they lost a Gold ring..It is marked 14K & there is a tad of plating by the butweld where it was re-sized.I wonder what the base metal is because the VDI is just above a nickle???
And it made my day finding these in that spot..

Appears to be copper, may have been gold plated. Ive found wedding rings like that. Some of the very old civil war ones were brass and gold plated. Many were stamped 18K... but back then they didnt put GP on them. Looks old enough to be a 1930s ring.
