Hey Ma--Joan and Iris

[attachment 118545 JoanampIris.jpg]Probably could have put both pictures on same post, but ain't learned how to do that yet. Hep me!
This is a picture from last spring of Joan standing by the flower bed in front of our house. We have tulips and other perennials here also, plus some elephant grass, which looks good throughout the winter. I have also planted some lilys of different varieties here also. The Iris did really well. Alot of people came by to get starts to them, which I gladly gave out. This is the northwest corner of our property.

Thanks for sharing! I love irises! I don't have any right now and your post makes me want to get some started again out in my yard. Have you ever seen the wild ones? Every spring, out in the woods around my house, there are several that pop up. They are very small; probably about 4 or 5 inches tall, and they look just like the big ones. I will try to remember to take a picture of them when they come up this year and will post it for you. I also like the little wild poinsettias that come up around my aunts house. They are tiny also, but look like the big ones.

Thanks DK...Joan and the Iris look great and sure reminds me of my flower beds last summer and fall! Beautiful with different colored flowers in pots and the ground! Would post pics, but I haven't learned how to post pics from my digital! It says I need the software disk for my Canon PowerShot A560 and I have either misplaced it or it never came in the box! I purchased the camera in Oct of 2007 and just started trying to use it in 2008! Does someone have a disc for this camera and can post a pic for it, so I know what I am looking for??? Some discs are larger than others! Packing stuff really gets a person disorganized, for when I move something from one place to another, I seem to never be able to find it for a long time! That's what forgetfulness does for the elderly!

To me, Spring means working in the yard, raking leaves and getting rid of the old flower stems, so they can start anew, as God's wonderful creations! God Bless! Betty
