Well you would not know me since i was on this forum several years ago and then dropped of when i made the horrid mistake of moving from southern maine to Arizona. I used to go by ScottMe.....used to be ToddMa and I were on here regularly.
Anyway...what general area of Maine are you in. I am moving back to Dover NH in a few weeks and I was all over souther Maine from Portland south. Did alot of reserach and made alot of great finds including us finding a pine Tree Shilling in York area.
Since my good friend ToddMa has quit detecting I am out of any detecting friends when i return. i don't mind doing it alone but...having someone else around is nice.Ask anyone here if I am legit.....all these guys know me and Todd.I still have alot of areas that I researched that will be good. People usually hunt the obvious.I never hunt the obvious....I go deep in the woods if I can and find the forgotten.Anyway figured I would toss it out there....I am pretty layed back when detecting and I always fill my holes.Plus I have a Jeep/......for the 4x4 roads...:)

If you are interested in hooking up ( as long as you are not in someplace like Bangor).....I have plenty of places I know of so i am not trying to relic leach...just that alot require hiking in and alone is a bad idea.scott

I still lurk around these parts but...I was so depressed moving here to Az...I have been here for 3 years.Gentlemen let me say this...no mateer how bad your detecting days are..ain't nothing as bad as not living in a place devoid of relics. Man i hated Phoenix...and as for prospecting...hah..whatta blow to the morale. I will be popping in more often when I get back. Going to go back in a motorhome...visit some of my forum friends in Va while we are travelling...I know a few in and around Richmond area.scott

He whent through a divorce...and with two young kids that seemed pretty rough on him for a while. During it all he sold his detector and seemed as though he was doing the single man thing again...best I could tell. One of those things that you just have to let a man go through on his own. I hope to meet up with him again....maybe he will be in a better place after a couple years post divorce.....and now without a wife to nag him about detecting...maybe the old Scott&Todd Caped Crusaders can rise again...or not.Either way I have not heard from him in a year...gonna Email him shortly though.scott

Yah i see you and Hank hunting now and then. Of course I remember you too. We will hook up atleast once this summer. My wife is getting her old job back and i am..well..sitting around looking for work. Could be a while lookin so...gonna make up for 3 years of no detectin!!!!:super:

Can't believe that photo was still around. that was a funny day...The Toddster and i were so hard up to detect..and it was mid January as you can see...we hit an old ghost town in mid NH. We would only dig silver targets..we had to chip through the frozen ground like it was concrete. I actually ate it on that ice..full face plant!!!Scott

Hey, Scott
I try not to post my location on-line, but I'll pm ya if you want to know. Anyway, if you have a good memory, you already know where I am because I'm the same Matt(Maine) that detected with you, Todd, and Garv a couple times. Last time was May 15, 05 because I was in Hampton Beach to see The Black Crowes. I think I recall you making fun of the local weathermen in the Southwest covering the storms.

I actually dropped off the forum for a few years because I went off-line. In fact, I just got hooked up again and came back to this group, last fall.
Glad you're moving back again. Sorry I won't be able to partner up with ya, though.

By the way, Todd did post on here at least once since I came back. So.. you might get him back detecting. Once detectings in the blood, it's hard to stay away for good:smoke:

Glad you're back, Scott.

Matt
