Might keep my Exp ll as a back up. Just hope you can see the damn digital numbers in the bright sunlight (supposed to be larger) like I can with my X70. It would be nice if they darkened the cross hairs on the smart screen also. We will see as soon as I get it Anyway liked the write up and got a good deal from Ron at Dixie Detectors. Now I know I am taking him as a dependent this year. :D: :D:. BTW it took me 3 weeks to pay for my new XCALL 1000 hunting the water almost everyday. 5 real nice gold and diamond rings I found with it and sold, paid for it with a little left over. Now got to get some more to pay for the new SE. Too bad my Exp.ll is not waterproof. It would be better then the Excall. Later bud, HH

You are a rich retired guy and can afford it.
I'm so po I cant even pays attention to what you jest said :crylol:
Nah, I wish a SE was within my means right now but it just isn't in the cards ... or the wallet either.
I know old Big Ron takes extra good care of YOU because you talk so sweet to him on the phone.:cheekkiss: Just Kidding Bud ...
Maybe one day I'll get my hands on one, until then I'll just kick back and wait to see how everybody else likes them.
Keep us posted.
Mike

Really made up my mine on the Golden MM. It is such a sweet machine with the 4" coil in the real bad iron and trash I just hate to get rid of it. Hell, if it were not for water hunting I would really be in the hole. I will let you know what I think of the SE. Hope one of those Brit's will answer my question on the Ferious tone hunting. I hate hunting in Cond. because of all the trash and Iron I hunt in. Later Bud, HH Jerry aka Tinfoil.

Hi Tin.....What was the specific contents of you question re hunting in ferrous audio mode?

It's my preference for hunting low conductivity targets.

I have the EXP2.........MattR

MattR, I think I read in your post that you prefer Conductive for targets other than low conductive? I am interested since it fits my narrow brain scan to use Ferrous for all hunting. I am very open to any changes so would you suggest Conductive for high conductive targets?

As I do hunt a lot of low end targets. Most of the hi end silver is gone. The low end small silver and coppers (fat Indian head 1 cent),flying eagle 1 cent 1$ and $2.50 gold coins, 3 cent nickles, old nickles buffs, shield war nickles are all in the low end digital numbers. When you are in the trash and iron using ferrous just makes the iron stand out more with the iron tone and I dig less iron. Alot of our old coins are just easier to pick out among the iron for me. I just wanted to make sure the SE was not changed and we were still able to chose either ferrous or the conduct mode. I shallow water wade with my machines so it works great in the water with the ferrous selected. I just got used to ferrous from the start and have never used the Conduct mode. In the iron I use Iron Mask 16 and maybe 14 or 15. Got to go hunting :detecting: :bouncy: so I may add some more later on this subject but, that about covers it. HH guys Jerry aka Tinfoil
