My CZ20 died again... I've had it in for service twice but Fisher still owned the company. Is the lifetime warranty still honored? I tell you, I'd love to get the larger coil put on it since I only use it at the beach. Too much sand and not enough coil :) However, I haven't used the machine much at all after getting it last repaired and it's dead again; same problem. It's only been under water a handful of times (when I've done bays) it'll just get a little wet maybe at the beach or when I use it when it's raining hard. Not a leak problem. I'm kinda hoping the coil is bad and maybe I can get a 10" on.

What they have been doing is upgrading them to a CZ-21. That machine olnly holds a warrenty for I think 3 years. Did you get that one from Al here in MI?
 
joe, i have been dealing with fisher concerning the cz20 to cz21 upgrade. according to fisher when firsttexas took over one of the higherups at fisher complained about the cz20 warrentys saying ..."the cz20 warrentys are eating us alive!!" they were having problems with the cz20 pinpoint button, frontpanel cracks, housing cracks old parts not matching up with the replacment cz20 parts etc: if all you have is a coil problem thats good. if they have to open the controlbox at all you will have to go with the cz21 parts/upgrade. do not try communicating with them by e-mail!!!!! good luck and let me know how it works out.

I bought it from Al in July of 2004. (Believe it or not, I still have the emails from you, Steve and Doug helping out a newbie :lol: )

I sent it out for repair 2 weeks after I got it. I didn't get it back until sometime in September. :stars:

I got my Exp II in April of 2005

In September of 2005, I sent both the CZ20 AND the Exp II out for repair. They both died on the same day :surrender: (but I did get a nice gold ring :) )

I'll try to get in touch with them. I wouldn't mine a CZ21 (as long as they make it a 10" coil) :) The CZ 20 has the same problem as the last two times. What's sad is I've rarely used it since it was last repaired in 2005 so, I think the one I have is a loser.

and see if he would rather you sent it there or to Fisher? And ask about the coil swap?
