As for the value, they have not much scrap value at all. Some jewelry shops sell them for $100 - $600 depending on if they have some gold or maybe a diamond. But you can get most of them for around $100 or even cheaper on the on line auctions. I will go out and scan it and let you know where it falls on my machine.
