What do you think of the Sunray inline probe? Was talking to Al via email about getting one. I saw online where they are compatible with the ACE 250. Someone, I thought it was you, told me they were good. I want to get one for the Garrett if it would be worth it. Al suggested the Garett Pro-pointer. I have been using the cheap one from Harbor Freight, and it actually works pretty good for costing under 20 bucks. Anyway, just looking for your opinion before I make a decision. Is the Sunray waterproof? The Pro-pointer?

I believe the Sunray probes are the best on the market. They are different than all the rest but certainly are set apart by what they do. When you hit the switch it shuts off your coil and turns on the 1" coil on the end of the probe. You will hear everythingf in your headphones that you heard from your detector.
Waterproof, and the pro pointer is water resistant. Yes the Sunray probe is more expensive, but worth it in my book! Feel free to PM or email or call if you want to talk more on this subject.

Thanks for the input Mike. I like the idea of the inline. I also like the fact you don't have to worry about carrying and extra tool. If I use another detector I can still use the hand held. I will give it some thought. I want to get a larger coil for the Garrett and a good pinpointer/probe before the weather breaks.
