Hey Uncle Willy

A few days ago I asked about setting the sensitivity on my 2500 for coin shooting. You said I should set it on 4 and leave it. I did and it performs well.
I have another question, I want to go out and hunt for maybe some deeper coins. I will put the 12.5 Proformance coil on my tecter. Should I leave the
sensitivity on 4? Also, I've had my 2500 for almost 5 years. It came with the white 9.5 coil. (Super deep Imaging) Is the new proformance coil (same size)
a better coil or am I still ok with the one I've got?
Thank you for any help sir, HH

I was referring to the sensitivity on a 250. On your 2500 set it at 6 to 6.5 and you'll have better luck. You can use the same sensitivity with the larger coil. Depending on where you are hunting and the soil conditions you can play with the sensitivity and see how much you can get away with but sensitivity too high will often mask good targets. Make sure there isn't a lot of trash where you will be using the large coil as it just sees too much at one time.

I made this sensitivity recommendation to another fellow some years back and he cranked the sensitivity down on his 2500 and went back over a park he had hunted heavy for years and found some old coins he didn't know was there.

The Proformance coil is a litle more stable and tougher than the white one but I prefer the white one and use it the most. It's lighter for one thing and pinpoints a little better - at least for me..And they are the same size. Good luck.
