HH pi-or Beachscan mkII-which is deeper on very small gold?

I have had opportunity to use an HHpi- on the wet salt sand it was VERY deep! Now, my question is, under identical circumstances=Southwest Florida wetsalt sand, no mineralization or other forms of interferance. With a very small engagement ring 14kt gold [ with a 2 kt diamond on it just for excitement purposes ] which of these 2 detectors will hit it clearly the deepest? If noone has owned and tested both, what results have you had with your HHpi or Beachscan? ps I know the hhpi is an under water unit, i'm only curious about wetsalt sand. Thanks in advance to you all, I have to say, I have been very impressed with some of the tech knowlege some of you guys have!PS- if anyone has a negative comment, I would certainly like to be aware of it, but please do so by emailing me personally and it will remain between just us!

Chuck,
Can only speak for the Beachscan with the 11" coil and as for depth on those targets I can't tell you that either. But I know the Beachscan will hit on a nickel at better than a foot, and sometimes a lot better, easily as well as pull tabs.
As far as I know the Beachscan and the HH PI are very similar in design and I believe both designed by Eric Foster
I have had the Beachscan since October and very well pleased with it. The beachs have just not been giving up very many good targets in Maryland so far this year.
For me or anyone else I know regardless of detector used.
Hunting partner uses Excaliber with 15" WOT and he has not done well either.
Hope this helps.
HH Rich
