Hi, I am new to this forum but have been reading it for sometime now. So let me tell you alittle about myself.I live in Upper Michigan, surrounded by old mining towns. Been MD'ing for many years. I use a GTI 2500 and it's been very good to me. So far this year I have found 8 halfbreeds (copper and silver nuggets) the biggest weighting 4.5 lbs , about 10lbs.of copper nuggets and a handful of coins, 20 of them silver I might add. I'll get some pictures up as soon I figure out how to do it. HAPPY HUNTING.

Interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing a picture of a halfbreed. What do you do with them?

I sell them to a gift and gem store. Brought some there 2 months ago and made $800, so I bought a new detector.

Yikes! I'm suddenly very interested. Are they natural or manmade from the mining process?

Thay are all natural , you may find some that have gone through a stamp mill. Copper mining was very big around here 150 years ago. So thay are scatterd all around just got to find them.
