that I posted with the 14-k Gold Wedding band and another ring along with the watch key! I found this one while detecting in the Surprise Hunt in our club's yearly Fall hunt! Will post more of my Fall finds, when I can find them and get them to upload! God Bless! Betty

Thanks Ma. Joan really liked the tiger eye. I keep telling her she might find some rings if she keeps looking. Where did you find the jewelry?

I found it while hunting in the surprise hunt during our club's Fall Hunt! They have a place that's not too far for me to attend and each paid $5.00 entrance fee for renting the area (private place) to bury the coins and then find them! There is a competition hunt that is entered for $5.00 and then the money was divided to according to categories like the most pennies found, the most a Senior Citizen found and also for a lady, to make it more fair! I never did join nor competed in that hunt! The next was the Surprise Hunt, in a separate field and what was found you kept! Then there was lunch and the main hunt! They have changed some of the things since I quit going and have the Main Hunt before the Pot Luck meal, which each attending brings to eat and they also give a prize for the best dish brought....voted on! And those who bury the coins, their names are placed in a hat or box and then a ticket drawn for a good prize for the lucky person!

One year they buried quarters in a place by the volley-ball court and then had people to go over it and give the count of quarters which they thought was detected there! Other times, a playing card was folded with a dime in it, and then the person who found it would place it on a board with their team mates....which were chosen from the start by signing the board....and if there was a good hand shown along with what your team members found....you and your team would get a prize. One year, my team came in first for a Silver Dollar for each and then another year the team I was on came either second for third, and rec. either a silver half or a silver quarter...just can't remember for sure any more, as it was several years ago! All I can say is that club hunts are fun and sometimes you come out with goodies and other times you don't! Also, most years there were prizes given for buried prize tokens found in the Surprise or Main hunt and whoever found a token (penny or dime) with a number on it would receive that prize which was donated my members as white elephants and store donations! I will miss those times, but sometimes the fun must end as a person ages and becomes unhealthy and unable to keep doing it! Time changes all things!

Hope you like reading this and it helps! Have more finds to show from dirt hunting in parks, schools, ball fields and etc., but will have to do it a little at a time unless I have to quit using the Internet by having to remove my Computer and accessories for moving furniture to get my house ready! :) God Bless! Betty
