Hi Doug! Did you all get home, as yet, and did you get my Thanksgiving card, okay? ......

Hope and pray everything is going well and you are blessed to be home from the hospital! Smile Brian.....Jesus Loves You and Your Family! God Bless! Betty

We have managed to get some rest but we still have to get up during the night to give him his meds and feedings. My days are all mixed up and I'm not sure yet whether I'm coming or going but hopefully some sense of normalcy will return soon.

Today was Brian's 14th birthday and it wasn't much of a birthday. He is still sleeping a lot and we didn't have time to plan a get together for him but that is probably a blessing since he can't eat cake and ice cream anyway. Carol ran out and picked up a gift for him today while her best friend Amy stayed with him at home. Amy also brought a present for him too. I had to work until 8 but I'm off for the next couple of days.

Thank you so much for all of your cards and prayers...you are an angel!!

Doug, Carol and Brian

Thank you Doug for answering my question about the card, as I never know if they get to their destiantion or not! It will take time for Brian to heal and recover from his ordeal in the hospital and he has been through so much! Tell him I said Happy 14th Birthday and to tempt him with cake and ice cream would be too much for him to take, I would think!

My youngest daughter, Tami, had the chicken pox on her 14th birthday and was home from school and then we went to my oldest daughter's home after she was over them and she got her present of a long-hair white, blue-eyed Persian kitten....a little cute fur ball---five weeks old! He is the one I had for years after her son, Joey, was allergic to cats. Toni passed a way in July 1997, just before my birthday and I grieved really hard for a week or more and still miss him, as he was a blessing to me after my ex left and we divorced! God is sooooo good, especially when we are in sorrow and pain!

Well, I am not sure about me being an angel but, if I am, I am one of those without wings! :) God Bless! Betty

...I thought sure we had opened your card awhile back, in fact, I could visualize it in my mind. There have been many, many cards sent and when we got home the first thing we did was go through the mail and there were a couple other cards from well wishers and several prayer cards from a local church. I had just read your response to my post last night and walked into the kitchen, and Carol said, have you seen this card? No!!

It must have been in a seperate pile of mail we missed. I told Carol that I had already thanked you for the nice card and now I feel bad. The old mind must be going fast!!

Brian loved the card and said, "Dad, that is really cool!"

So, let me try again. Thank you Betty and Cliff for the wonderful card and the gift. The two of you truly are angels.

God bless,

Doug, Carol, Sarah and Brian

That is okay Doug....to err is human, to forgive is divine....but I have nothing to forgive you for, as I am so forgetful that I sure couldn't repremend you for not opening the card before your post.....just glad you rec it and if Cliff is an angel, he is one of those who doesn't have wings either! :) I am very happy that Brian liked the card and may you all be blessed with the gift that I sent!  Betty
