Hi Eric, a question?

Howdy Eric, I was wondering if the Whites TDI could operate properly with a Blanket Coil from Accurate Locators? I really appreciate your thoughts on this and have a great week ahead! Dah Dit Dah

Hi John,

No idea what a blanket coil is! The TDI is not overly critical on coils, but it has to be in the right ballpark as regards inductance, resistance, and self capacitance. Also it needs to be shielded.

Eric.

Howdy Eric, thanks very much for the advice. The Blanket coil is made by a Bulgarian for using with the SSP2100 PI and 3300. The coil is imbedded into a rubber material and can be hooked to an ATV to pull it across the ground. I am sure it is shielded but I will ask Plamen. These are sold through Accurate locators. The Blanket coil is built to handle the rough conditions it endures in being towed around. I have a customer that would like to connect his TDI to this Blanket coil. I hope your doing well Eric and I don't know if you remember me but this is John at John's Detectors in Blackwell,Tx. I've got one of your Beachscan detectors. I have noticed that my TDI overloads very easily Eric. Thank you again for stopping to help and I appreciate you being here. Be safe Eric.

Best Regards,
John Tomlinson,CET
