I just watched the most terrifying Documentary ever made by probably the most qualified man on Earth regarding the inside Politics of these Events. Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara. It is down right bone chilling. It is called "THE FOG OF WAR" It was made in 1973. In it McNamara responds in a way that even stunned the Film maker. The film was supposed to be a nice little one hour interview. It turned into a 4 hour Documentary in which McNamara literally addresses the audience in a way that it was as though even the camera, the film maker or anything else was there. McNamara literally spoke "directly" to the audience, us, in way never intended or foreseen. In this film it is, to me, as though McNamara is apologizing for his actions to us and in some twisted way trying to clear his own conscience before this Country as a whole before he himself died. You can actually see the pain in his eyes and hear it in his voice. To me he failed. !!!!!!
I do NOT want you or anyone to comment until after you have watched this movie now. For those who have seen it before please watch it again with fresh eyes. It is literally riveting. There are no words I can find to describe it at all except that of a frail old man who was a MONSTER trying to clear his conscience. It is terrifying. Anyway I await all your inputs on this.
