can anyone tell the difference between sov. xs vs. sov.gt?need some feedback more on the xs.thanks---------------------------bill

The XS is the earlier model Sovereign which is still preferred by many. I feel the GT is a bit more sensitive and because of this it may like iron a little more, but once you know what to do it is easy to tell iron falses from good targets. The GT also has a switch for silent search so you can use it when and if you want to plus it also has the option so you can turn the iron mask on or off so in some site you can turn it off and it will run smoother, but not see coins close to iron as on would do. Also if you are a prospector you can run it in all metal and track the ground, but for most we don't use that feature as disc works very good for us coin hunters. Another feature the GT has the XS don't is the noise switch as we can switch between 2 different freq where we get electrical interference or another Sovereign hunting close to you as you can switch the freq just a little so it will run smoother.
The XS or XS2 for those beginning to use a Sovereign as they do excellent and if you don't like them you can get all or most of you money back while the GT for those that are experienced with the Sovereign as it can do a little more for those that know how to use them.
