I just saw your reply to my message. I finally tried Hampton. I'm only 30 minutes away from there! I went on Sunday, very windy and in the 20's. Huge beach havn't been there since I was a kid.
I'm not really sure where to hit. I was out in front of the Ashworth area down low. Then I tried farther up towards the state park. Just looking for those small holes but they just were not there.
I tried the high tide mark and all the way down into low tide. I hit some of the big troughs that were created. I found a whopping 72 cents in four hours of swinging..... I think the beach was sanded in. Lots of heavy grainy sand just below the high tide mark. Would that indicate sanded in conditions?
I hope to see you there sometime.
