Hi to ya'll .....No white stuff, as yet, but sure is raining, again, so wet and cold! God Bless! Ma Betty

We had rain off & on today. The nearby mountains got so much snow they shut down the highway to there . Stay warm back there, steve in so az

another 4-6 tomorrow and another 2-4 tomorrow night.

We probably have 4 inches already just since 9 PM til now at 2 AM.

We went shopping for groceries so we have food, an almost full tank of gas in the van, still have the back up generator for emergency electricity (to keep our important things going like the wireless router, computers, a few lights and oh yeah the electric heater in the living room.)

Had on the Santa hat, red vest and a red sweatshirt while out today. Lots of people had to look twice as they couldn't believe it was (according to them) Santa Claus!!! One lady commented to her companion in Meijer "Wow, there really is a Santa Claus!"

I was impressed with the EMS and the Police Officers in the store who were taking (I believe they were orphans) children shopping and they got to talk and wave at Santa Claus. Putting smiles on their wonderful little faces. It was amazing the number of adults who got smiles on their faces as well.
Of course there were those who didn't say anything or didn't smile.

Will be posting a picture or a few of him later tomorrow. He is just so wonderful. Great to see him growing up day by day.

Merry Christmas Betty (and everyone else)

Hey Ma. Windy, very windy here and cold. Hope all the "White Stuff" stays up north in Michigan.

It's nasty jere too Betty. Only a trace of the white stuff so far...but the winds will blow you over on the way to the car.

We have the beginnings of a blizzard! We are under a warning through Thursday. Looks like I will get to go plowing.

Hi Steve! Are you able to see the mountains with the white stuff covering them? If you are able to, I can imagine how beautiful they look! Looks like we might have a very cold, wet, and white winter this year! Oh Where, Oh Where is that global warming???? My heating bill doubled in one month from almost $40 to $80...I turned the thermostat down but does feel cold in my home, so unless I wear something really warm, I do get cold, especially my hands, legs and feet! With low finances, I have to conserve one way or the other or more ways than one! Praise God for His goodness, mercies and help to me through the years and now! Amen! God Bless! Betty

Bro Pete. you sure do look like Old St. Nick with the red & white cap and your beard! You make a better looking one than a lot of very skinny ones I've seen! It is great that you can give people (adults and children) something to smile about and be happy over in your own way! Remember, we each have our own talents and gifts and if anyone can give some joy, love and peace in this world than I think God is very pleased! Let the angry ones find Jesus' love by accepting Him as their own personal Savior.....then joyous loving smiles will be on their faces, too!

Hope to see the pics soon! Little ones do grow up fast....sometimes too quickly to enjoy them while they are still young and innocent! When children grow up, Christmas isn't as near as fun on Christmas morning, soooo enjoy Leelan while you can! Give him a kiss and hug for me! I love babies and being a great-greatgrandma, I have plenty to love! God Bless! Betty

Hi DK! I too hope the white stuff stays north but the weather outside is spitting some fine white flakes but nothing sticking or turning white! I do believe we will have some on the ground soon, as the smoke from the furnaces is laying low over the rooftops....won't be a whole lot as yet, but it is coming! Very windy here and has broken a small limb off of the Pine tree in the Common Ground and is almost laying on the street! Terribly, strong gusts at times but windy all the time! Brrrrrr.....down in the 20's but feels like 11 degrees from the wind! I won't be going any place for awhile!
My lungs couldn't take this cold, cold wind! God Bless! Betty

Hi Bryce....no rain today, but terribly, terribly windy and in the 20's but feels like 11 degrees according to the weather report! Guess winter is upon us or soon will be, as it is spitting fine white flakes but nothing to worry about, as nothing looks white, as yet! Well, this ole gal is staying inside and not going to try to walk to my car or anywhere else, my lungs would freeze in this wind and cold and I don't need the problems of sickness any worse than I already do; and besides I don't like shivering in the cold, cold winds! :) God Bless! Betty

Well, look at it this way.....no :detecting: means more money coming in from removing all that white stuff where it shouldn't be! God blesses His own one way or the other, so take each as they come! Don't get too cold and stay well, including your family! God Bless! Betty
