High Power Battery Warning

There has been some talk about all the new battery types coming out on the market. I was advised today by TekT2 factory assistant to "not
use" the high power tech 1.7volt. I will not use brand names but the batteries are generally sold for digital cameras and such and usually
warn on the package that they could potentially damage some types of equipment. Some may already be using without incident but I still felt
it was important to pass along.

I received the opposite answer. I was told they were ok to use from Teknetics. I haven't used any because the regular batt. work for what seems like for ever. With the T2 you don't need any special batt. because the T2 doesn't eat up batt. like other detectors. T2 is so good on batt. that I don't even carry extras, but I do need to keep some just in case.
