hilarious story about 1859 house!

today my buddy calls me, (he was one of the two that hunted the 1859 house with me this weekend), he proceeds to tell me, he told a guy he works with about the house we detected. And the guy says yea I know that house, I bet you did not find anything good did ya?

He goes on to tell Brad that he detected this house a few yrs ago with his whites XLT, and he only cherry picked the silver and deep indian signals he skipped all the wheats...........then Brad explained to him that well over 20+ silvers, 10 indians, almost 100 wheats, v-nickel, buffalo, 2 cent pc. tokens and relics all came out of the ground there. He was speechless........he detected a few yrs ago and managed a few mercs and indians......simply amazing, maybe his machine was defective

I hunted an 1868 school house. The owner said 1000 people have hunted it and I could be 1001. Not long into the hunt I found a rotted away coin purse with two barbe halves, a 1919 wheat, and an old transit token. Then proceeded to find wheats, Indians, silver, Civil War token, and numerous other great finds! :)

a man from one of the neighboring houses came out and said "you aren't going to find anything. I've hunted it with my XXX model".. Just then my cousin said he got a signal, dug the plug and out came a silver Rosie. The guy asked what he found? A silver Rosie cuz said. The guy went back in the house.

The problem with :detecting: and finding goodies depends on the detector used, the knowledge of that detector by the detectorist, how deep it will detect and according to the weather whether nice and moist, very dry or very wet! The ideal conditions aren't always there and it takes patience to find something that has been detected many times to get the good stuff! I know as I've been detecting since 1981! If it starts raining or snowing hard while :detecting: than that can stop a good hunt! Remember, the detectors have been made better and better for the deeper sounds and etc. I imagine any one with a better detector and the knowledge of how to use it could go over places I detect and find more than I can, because my XLT Spectrum was made in the 90's! The same way with cars how far they have come in progress! Well, that's MA's words of wisdom as I know about life and things! :) God Bless! Betty
