The North Saskatchewan River in my neck of the woods was rising due to high precipitation and spring runoff in the mountains. That put a hold on gold prospecting. So, I took advantage of this and did some coin searching at some nearby sports fields. It's shaping up to be a good year for coin totals. I am looking forward to purchase either a gold coin or nugget at the end of this year.

A got some real confusing signals on this older girl's charm bracelet. I kind of went at it one piece at a time using my pin-pointer until I got them all. The chain to which they were once attached to and the loops on the various charms has all pretty well rusted off. I also got another ring. This ring had a VDI of 70 using zero discrimination and running at 25K. But it was unusually strong, so my curiosity got the best of me and out popped a ring. That makes 12 rings so far this year with the Vortex. No gold yet?

Here's my gold from earlier in the week....Wednesday to be exact. I stopped digging gravel at the 2 hour mark, as the river was rising and I didn't want to get into any trouble.
