This story starts yesterday on a morning long hunt, on a very very windy day. I found a huge silver ring, junk plated ring, two pendants one maybe silver ( can't find any markings). My settings where as follows: disc 14, sens 79, thres 0 DE. We searched all day for a prime location that wasn't completely covered in pulltabs, finally settled on an old swim beach that wasn't as covered on trash. We hunted all day and right before we went to leave my hunting partner hit a diamond engagement ring real close to where I was searching. It was one of those flat rings that fit down inside the wedding set, so all night I thought about how I need to get back out there at daylight. With my wife's permission, another story, I was there early and before anyone else showed up to butt in on the action. I hunted hard, like I was looking for evidence in an FBI murder case, back and forth very careful not to miss an inch, but no luck.

At least no luck on the wedding band, I was rewarded with a 7.2 gram 10k ladies class right from 1982. It's the first solid gold one I have ever found. It came in at a solid 44-45 signal with high confidence. Smooth solid tone every sweep, all in all, a very nice find. So now it's back to work and no detecting for another week. Can't wait to start my next adventure out looking for gold, sure hope things hold up for me this year! Making some big changes to do much more detecting than every before. Man does the F70 love to hit hard on gold, sure is a pleasure to use. Bought the wife some lunch today as a surprise, always thinking ahead.., lol

Brings my F70 gold total to 571.00 scraped gold value, 29.21 grams since last year when the lake started getting low enough to hunt it.

Nice going on the gold class ring.

I just had my 1st outing with my new F-70. I had one when they came out in 06 and it was a hot one, this one looks to be just as hot. I like to hunt in AT mode, at about 75 sens. The iron is thick where I hunt, so it sounds REAL BUSY!! I just dig when the numbers bounce. The button was in a place that my Gold Bug has been over a lot, 4 square nails came out of the same hole as the button!! Think I'm gonna like the F-70 reunion. I've had the F-75 & T-2 LTD's and I think the F-70 is a lot smoother machine for relic hunting....Mark

Nice find and tale. Yup, keep the little women happy. It will pay dividends in the long run. Mine now lets me hunt every day. HH jim tn
