Hit The Farm Field Again Today

With the SE and the 12.5" Excelerator coil.

Had a fair day, though now silver this time. My buddy Karl with my old Quattro actually out-hunted me, which was cool...good to see him really coming on strong with the machine as he gets to know it. He snagged two nice buttons and a 1945 quarter.

Here was my stuff...5 wheats (including a 1917), a couple of tiny flat buttons, a couple of musketballs, and some type of "militaria" lapel pin/medal thingy.

Not bad finds at all. What kind of button is that with the letter P in the center that Karl found? Looks like it is quite old and in very nice shape. Has a great design to it. Wish I could get out and dig something old but I think about a month from now, I'll be hitting it hard again. Keep the finds comin' guys and Good Luck and HH.:detecting:

To seeing you post some more great pics James. It shouldn't be too long. The trees here in central Cal. are already starting to bloom.

Fields that produce stuff like that usually have a few reales kicking around. That field has seen a lot of activity if you are finding military buttons. Good luck in there and dig it hard. Ron

I hear ya man, and I've been hoping. Fact is that the field has been hunted MANY times over the years and is not giving up much thses days...you REALLY have to work it. But if you really work it, you can get a few things. And we will keep working it at least for a while more. Soon the weather will turn warmer, the tourists will come back, and it'll be time to dig diamond rings again for a few months. :)
