For myself ... I don't know if we should be in Iraq or not ---
but it doesn't matter because we are there, so I totally support our troops.
They are heros each and every one.
I'm humbled by their honorable service to this country.
The anti-war protesters jump in front of the cameras and make
lots of noise every time the news media declares a
new casualty benchmark in the war. (IE: 2000 a week ago)
One has to wonder how these protesters choose their agenda ?
While these war casualties are tragic and the numbers seem
high here is another unbelievable statistic that is
largely ignored in our country.
March 20, 2003: Official start date of the war against Iraq.
As of today, Friday 11-04-2005
2,038 soldiers have given their lives in
Iraq since March 20, 2003
33,799 sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, grandparents,
aunts, uncles, friends and neighbors have lost their lives
in Alcohol Related Traffic Fatalities for the
same period of time in the USA.
This Alcohol Related Traffic Fatality number increases
at an average of one person almost every half-hour.
(media exposure is everything)
