First silver for the new year. Spanish half reale. I think the date is 1812. Someone went a little crazy with the holes but I think it adds character. Have a great day.
 
Stan, with that many holes, I'm wondering if it could have been used as indian jewelry, many coins were laced into clothing down this way.
 
Thanks for that info. I have to look into that more now that you have mentioned it. I was thinking that same thing. Can't figure out why else they would put that many hopes in it. Unless they were bored. HH
