Well, it was a long weekend. We had to drive a few hundred miles this weekend I'am need some rest but have to wait till later to deal with that My Aunt was put to rest Sunday at 4:00. It was a Sunny day with about 75*. Today it is raining with hight in the 40's. God gave us a great day to remember a Christian going to him. My Aunt's church out did them self. After there chruch they feed the family. there was about 100 of us. You walked in there was about ten tables full of Ham, chicken, meatloaf, corn, greenbeans, plus so many other things. All tables were full. Then two big tables full of cake's, pies and other sweet's. There was more food then you could eat. The Lady's made sure we were at home. Helping anyway they could. It was something I had not seen it a long time. The police lead us to the grave yard. It was about a 10 mile ride. ( Here they don't do that anymore) but back to this. We all lined up and out we go. then we get to the main road from the chruch. There is a police car blocking the road. Face you with hands behind back and heads down. As we came up on cars. they would pull over to the side of the road (I think is a law there) but then they would turn on there lights. At every Police man we came to was standing out of his door with hand behind him and head down. This were the city police offices. We have a county offices leading us. When we got to the grave site. He pulled in the middle of the lanes jumped out and in his door put his hand behind him and put his head down. I have not seen anything like that in so many years that I had tears from the joy of seeing it. I don't know how it is done around you but they don't even come close to doing anything like here anymore. Sorry for the long post but some will read and some want
God Bless

Glad all went well ! We dont have a big show here for the funerals - but they do escort the line of cars and block off traffic. Sounds like everyone had a good final meeting for your aunt, Steve in so az

The families from southeast MO have food brought like that when a loved one passes away. Sometimes there is police escort & sometimes not, for I believe they have to be paid by the loved one's family!
There was a funeral for a fireman today, who was killed in a hit & run accident by a young man who fled after robbing a convenience store, I think! Really sad & I hope the fireman was saved because he probably had no chance to repent at the time of death. They had police directing traffic & fireman all along the route. His coffin was carried on top of his favorite fire engine & lots of people stopped & showed him honor!
Get lots of rest, so you'll be ready for more MD'ing!
God Bless!
