Honestly, I've never even seen a T2 in person before so my question is -do you have to dig every non-iron signal(dig everything) or can you "cherry pi

I've had so many ID detectors-with the Explorer XS/II, XTerras 50/70, Coinstrike/ID Edge-all of these outside of the CZ's, I found that I dug quite a bit of trash targets as well compared to CZ's when coin hunting. I mainly coin hunt at old sites so I was just wondering how this machine would be better for coin hunting than the rest? There are just so many midtone targets(and iron of course) at old sites I was wondering how to distinguish coins from trash if at all possible...Thank you...HH

Hi Chris,

I use my T2 mainly as a coin shooting detector, and as far as I am concerned it is an excellent coin machine. You have to learn what the T2 is telling you in the field, and I would say that the learning curve is on the steep side. If you are willing to be patient, and learn the capabilities of the T2 you will be a very happy user.

The T2 can distinguish multiple targets very close to one another. If it tells you that there are two or three coins close together it's
true 99% of the time. The target ID for coins is very tight and when it displays a ID number for a particular coin it's on the money. Which you need to verify through the different audio modes on the T2.

Also setup is fast and easy and can be changed with one finger. No one setup is true for all parts of the US, and I would suggest reading as many post about setting up the T2 as you can from different users through out the country.

I have found that the pin point audio along with the different audio tones that are available on the T2 backup what the ID indicates. Each time I use my T2, I become more and more attune to its' language. It's a fun detector to use. I my buy a F75 if and when it hits the market, but I will not be selling my T2. It's a great great detector.
Now if only First Texas would give use the small DD coil they promised us last year.

You may what to read some of the post from the guys in England. They are finding really fantastic coins that we here in the States can only dream about.

I hope this helped, Bill
