Hoppin' Coil

Got out this am..helped my cousin move yesterday and felt pretty sore..(I owed him one:cry:) loaded a 26' truck and unloaded it at the other end.:stretcher:
Anyway, there were some local festivals I needed to hit at sunup, before the traffic lights stop flashing which is around 6am...no fresh drops at all! :ranting: Decided to go to the soccer fields and practice hoppin' coil over the sideline signals. Hoppin' Coil you ask? Its a new way to detect/pinpoint in deep grass where you cant get a good swing or hardly a wiggle, its just like ice fishing action, or maybe drumming, sort of gently and quickly "bouncing" the coil on top of a signal as a guy rotates 90 degrees..then stab, grab and go! Anyway, it works pretty well. The parks dept. are not mowing the fields this year with posted signs stating "due to budget cuts, we are letting this area go to hell, and if you don't like it, you can too" or something to that effect  Got the sens cranked into the 70's to hear targets down in the dirt through the high grass and clouds of mosquitos.
Got 110 coins for 8.45, a "10 Bank of Korea" coin, 17gr of 925 with the charm bracelet and ring, and a very small .7gr 10k ring, 3 fresh lead sinkers and miscellaneous hoohaw...
I've spent most of last month in the water with the F70's brother, very tough duty with little results, all sanded in, though I did find a brand new expensive battery operated and fully loaded dope pipe called a "Micro G" in the sand, thought it was some sort of flashlight! But I guess what you do is put some dope oil in it, press the button, and it vaporizes the oil into a smokeable matrix! :smoke:..Anyway, It was fun and profitable to be out with the F70 today, hope you all are well and Happy Fathers Day to you Dads out there!:beers:

Hey, I like that hoppin coil swing. It looks like it worked great for you. Good pile of coins and some gold and silver. Great hunt! HH jim tn

Mud, you're on fire! That's a super nice silver bracelet and two beautiful rings to boot. I'm very impressed with the volume of good targets you dig.

Smoke keeps mosquitos away dontcha know...:smoke: I didn't know what the thing was and had to get schooled by the kid behind the counter at the bait shop, he seemed to have a great deal of interest in this device, and a high degree of knowledge as to its application, price, and operating sequence...
