Howdy--
My friend Kenneth and I were driving around town in search of a site that might be productive. Sometimes we spend the better part of an hour in the quest for a suitable lot to hunt. Kenneth was seriously injured in 1956 in an oil field accident and because of spinal damage and hip and knee replacements can only recover targets in ground that is not overgrown. We found a lot that met our criteria.
Kenneth did very well at this corner lot. He dug a nice 1952-D Washington quarter,a silver Roosevelt, a silver James Avery charm and some clad. I had a bit of good luck also. Aside from the 3 silver Roosevelt's and wheat cents, I dug a track medallion. I dug those finds in the front yard. Then I thought that I would try a different area of that lot - the strip of grass behind the backyard fence, between the fence and the ally. There I dug a few clad dimes and memorials when I got an 87-89 reading at 7" on my V3i. I was hoping for a nice silver half but not too disappointed to dig this Houston Fat Stock Show badge. It's their Silver Anniversary 1932-1957. I believe that it belonged to Chief UG Williams. Best of luck and...
