How bad is the F75??

With all the talk of the LTD, how bad is life going to be for this poor old detectorist if I get an F75?

Just more depth with BP mode on the LTD. I have NO idea what CL mode is supposed to do.
Any defined increase in depth?
Is it strictly for the wild woods, with no interference sources nearby?

I came from the F70 to the LTD and it's far deeper then I ever saw on the F70. When I purchased the LTD I was very concerned about EMI, as I hunt in the SF bay area and some of my previous machines would get knocked out from EMI. Much to my surprise, the LTD so far has handled the EMI VERY well in BP mode. I have had a couple of problem areas, but for the most part it's been darn good in EMI, even in spots that previously gave my F70 troubles.

Brian

well thats encouragin' aint it?! Thanks

The Bp mode on LTD F75 is a boosted up gain..Slower swing speed, and the CL is a boosted cache mode real slow swing speed. The F75 is a good deep detector..You can not always use the BP mode on LTD model.
The key is pretty good power with light weight operation with standard F75. There are times this just feels better..Lighter weight with good results. Many times the F75 gets the depth required at a sight..8-9 Inches on single coins..and once in a while a little more.. I have noticed the Bp mode doesn't hit far greater depths, but it hits more coins on edge, and masked targets a bit better.. Power isn't always the answer to better finds..sometimes lower sens will surprise you..It doesn't saturate the ground, and allows some items to be seen actually better..To much power can, and does distort signals.....

I would tell anyone for a better than average detector the F75 is certainly at the top of the list.

Thanks Elton. That was well put.
Im clearing out all but a few detectors, so naturally I want to hang on the best of the lot. I can see something like an F70/F75 1-2 punch working for me.

It seems to be really bad where many high tension wires come together for split offs.( Sending voltage different directions).. I tried detecting close to an apartment building with 200 plus units..wow..that was an experience.....but most of the time it works in the city fairly well.
