After almost three years of detecting I dug my first real silver coin, and boy was I surprised. I almost always hunt the local schools and parks, which are all 1960s and newer. This morning I had about half an hour to kill before taking my daughter to school, so was at the community sports field using a custom pattern with only 36-39
