How do ATX tones compare with White's TDI Pro sounds?

Checking out the Arc Geo Logger units, I see some use PI units ( such as White's TDI Pro) in addition to the awhite's TM 808 and Discovery TF-900 units. Basically, they log in the tone emitted as the detector passes thru a grid and thus present a 3-D computer image of the underground structures. Only the Discovery unit gives cave signals, though.

From what I've heard on videos, the ATX does not sound like it gives out a large range or continuous sound. How would you say the ATX sound range compares with the White's TDI?
