How Do You Go 11 Hours And Not Know ???

Saturday my sister took my kid to a Birthday Party. The theme of the Party was Roller Skating. Now neither of them have been on Roller Skates in their lives. Well sure enough I get a call. My sister fell and badly hurt her right knee but she decided to stay for the Party and my kid was having fun. WEEEEEELLLL sure enough 20 minutes after that I get another call.My kid fell and hurt her wrist but they both decided to stay for the Party. Meanwhile, I'm doing the Parent Shuffle.!!! They literally stayed at the Party for 6 more hours. Had fun. Ate a big meal and my kid got a prize as well. I fugure they were a little sore but had fun anyway so it was worth it.!!! Man was I wrong. !!!! About an hour after they got home I saw my Sisters leg. Her Right knee was swollen out like a grapefruit extending 1/2 way down her leg and all black and blue. I "knew" something was wrong. My kid is saying her right arm is really hurting. By 11:00pm she was literlly crying with the pain. I called an ambulance and got them both to Childrens Hospital. They X - Rayed my sisters leg and my kids arm. Turns out,my sister had cracked her Right kneecap along with deep muscle bruises. My kid on the other hand had literally broken her wrist, her thumb and part of her forearm. My sister is now wrapped up and my kid has new, COOOOLLL cast 1/2 way up her arm. INCREDIBLE.!!!!! By the time they were done it is now 3:45am and we are all burned out. We decide to take a cab. It cost me $47.00 to get them home.!!! If they had said something earlier in the day as a normal person would do I could have gotten them both there and back via the trains but because of the hour it was impossible.!!!! I don't care about the money. Their safety is paramount no matter what. I just can't figure out is how in the world does anyone in their conditions go 11 hours without knowing something like a broken wrist,thumb and forearm has happened ??? I broke my wrist ages ago and I "KNEW" it right away.!!!! I am absolutely dumbfounded. anybody have any ideas. My kid thinks its funny because now all her classmates think her cast is AWESOME.!!!! How do you figure??? I'll tell you one thing. she will NEVER go Roller Skating again for sure. I don't car if the Jonas Brothers are There.!!! No way. I'm absolutely stumped. I don't kow but what do you guys think???? PEACE:RONB

Don't know what to think because I have never had a broken bone unless it was one of my toes...always hitting them against something and turning them black and blue...never did anything and just let them healed but broken knees and hands and arms are a different story, as they have to be set with a cast or sling put on until healed enough to do without them! Guess they wanted to party more than see the EMS or the drs and nurses and maybe Jesus helped them to hold off the pain until the party was over! Oh well they were taken care of and that is what matters in the long run! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Many years ago I was into 'Dance Roller Skating' and enjoyed it but, when I began training, I took my share of spills and bumps. Fortunately I've never broken anything. I gave it up many years ago and gave the skates to the 'younger set'. It was fun while it lasted. I'll be praying for healing for them both.
