How do you hunt where nails are everywhere?

Mosley

I have found a good place to hunt, but nails are everywhere. Any suggestions as to how I should hunt with my Ace 250?

:usaflag:Well...you can notch-out iron on the detector, but you will still be digging nails because the older, rotten nails always chime in as a coin. There is a difference though. Those types of nails tend to bounce around a bit on my Ace, and coins will chime in as a solid coin with no variation. Once you see how your detector reacts to these targets you can be more sure of whats down there before you dig. I'm still in the learning curve with mine so don't feel bad. It's either that or dig everything, that way when you come back the next time there will be some good targets that are not being masked by the iron. Good luck

It's difficult. The only way is to clean them all out. Hopefully you'll find enough keepers along the wway to keep you motivated.

you could try a sniper coil it mite help separate the targets. but you will lose depth
