How do you setup your Explorers to hunt trashy sites - that is using the small X5 coil?

If you are going to use the X-5 coil you can probably pull out all the stops with the sens. and disc.
Try setting your sensitivity at 32 manual, very little iron mask, say -13 or -14, Gain way up at least 7 or 8,
10 wouldn't hurt with a coil that small.
You're not going to get real deep with that coil but it sure does separate!

hello this is my trash set up, and i like to think i'am the king of pulling goodies out of trash filled parks. pretty much thats where i make my living. when its too trashy for every else its just right for me. no matter the loop here's what i do. manual sens is the key, when the machine runs stable thats where i leave it. even if its 22, 20 or 16 it will still go deeper than you think. always audio 1 turned on. it locks on better to a good hit. the sound has a longer rip to it. recovery set on FAST! zero theshold always, iron mask -6. sometimes i have to thumb it back and forth between iron mask -6 and a coins program with screw caps, pull tabs and bottle caps notched out. i might hear a slight rip of a silver coin in iron mask -6 when i jump back to the coins program sometimes it comes in better. and sometimes i hear a little rip in the coins set up but can hear it better when i flip back to iron -6. so i"am fliping back and forth with the 2 programs. i would say 75 percent of the time its in the iron mask -6. i have run fast and deep at the same time . in the heavy heavy trash turn the deep off keep it off. the gain is at 5. var. i run at 10 . 10 is what i like . i think thats just a personal matter on your hearing. thats pretty much it. i dont look at cross hairs much. i go buy sound! with these settings the cross hairs are way way off!i go pretty slow from different directions, sometimes i run my detector like a vacuum cleaner. not really swinging it like i would most times. the vacumm cleaner works real good sometimes! i always keep that loop flush on the ground too! well i'am done, would love to hear from others on this matter. all the stuff in this picture came out of one little area. i do also dig a fair amount trash. if i got 25 good tagets i have 25 junk targets in my bag too!
