How does ground mineralization effect the readings?

I typically have a gb number in the low to upper 80's at most of my sites. The lowest I come across is in the 60's. How does this effect the id or tone of a target? Am I walking over things because I think they sound like junk or when I pinpoint they seem like they are a 6 to 7 inches wide? I skip most of these targets.

I know that sometimes I get a good signal and it is a fairly solid one but then dig and get nothing. At the same time, I can get a fairly good signal and pull out this tiny piece of foil about 6 inches down!!

Any advice on this? Oh and I use the Omega and the T2.

Thanks
