80" of Snow in Baltimore Maryland so far. 2 Blizzards Back to Back this week. :surprised: Here is a picture during the storm . This is just north of Baltimore.

but has thawed enough the last couple weeks to hunt most areas that get sun during the day. I was going to try a new spot yesterday, but it was raining lightly but steady most all day.

Unusual to be getting rain this time of year. Looks like it is going to be a light winter for us.

The down times gives a chance to go through and inspect ALL of you equipment and do some deep cleaning. Maybe even see what's inside that coil cover. :poke:

Here's hoping for spring.

I was in Idaho last week (Feb. 4-9) and found 7 silver dimes and quite a few wheats at the Latah County Fairgrounds. I hunted for 1 hour on the 4th, 2-3 hours on the 6th, about 2 hours on the 8th. The warmest day was 50 degrees, the ground was great for digging. I also hunted a little in East City Park, Moscow, ID. but wasn't finding much there and the ground was much muddier, so I moved on. Anyway, you don't have to go south. If you're in IL, I guess south is closer than Idaho, eh? I live in MN, and am going to Texas in March as my daughter and her husband will have a baby boy born by then.

12" of snow in Dallas recently!

They said on the news the other night that the only state that didn't have snow on the ground somewhere was Hawaii.

I think we need to get us some cases of Aqua Net hair spray and bring feathered hair back in style:shrug:
Seriously.........Global warming my butt...more like a coming ice age.

I am no scientist but our winters are freezing cold. Global warming personally i think is BS. We will all be cooking in 30 years time if you believe in all that bs.

I think these nut jobs have finally figured out a method of lying that they get away with every 30 years or so. After all once you get an entire society locked into a 10 second sound bite it's easy to lie, cheat and deceive.

Bill, I live a half hour SW of Chicago and it is diggable in the wooded areas. I was out on superbowl weekend and had no problem digging. Lambo

I'm in the Upstate of SC and I might have a very thin layer of frozen ground when it's really, really cold in the moring but even that can be easily broken with a trowel. However, the summer droughts stop me dead in my tracks.

Well Bill if it keeps go'in the way it has been, Florida will be iced in soon! We have had 35 nights of between 35& 40 degrees. We,ve had enough.
