It has been very dry in Omaha this summer meaning there hasn't been much hunting for me around this area. Got tired of waiting for the rain so I started bringing with me a gallon milk container full of water. When I dig a hole before covering it up I fill the hole with enough water to soak the bottom of the hole and the bottom of the plug. Plug goes back in easily and best of all no brown spots. When I need to refill the jug, most parks have a water source. In dry conditions targets on my SE Pro ring up weird so I just listen to good sounds. Pulled just two wheats today at my local park, but still enjoyed an 80 degree day. Sure wish it would rain though. By the way, my plugs are rarely more than 3" across.
