How many LTD sold

And what is Fisher going to do with the ones that want one? I can't remember a company doing this I think they had about a month before they were gone maybe even sooner. I would think a basic LTD would come out for less money? I don't see many reviews on the machine it has to be used in the right place to really shine...I would think hunted out spots with maybe some overgrowth or fringe targets I know it is not going to light up the sky with finds but it can give you an edge and help you squeak a few good targets.

Did it make a big difference...no but it does help out some and even one old relic is worth the time and money spent....What is next?

Someone "in the know" previously posted FT only made 289 of the F75 LTD (must've been an old Ford lover).

I suspect that the LTD's were kind of a test run of something bigger and better to come, time will tell.

Some people love the LTD, some like it, and others have quickly decided it's not the detector for them.

My guess would be as the top hunters (and rocket scientist) continue to use and learn it, LTD users will benefit from seeing more new tips and techniques posted for the boost and cache modes.

But then again my guesses aren't always so good. I thought that used prices on previous generation F75s would take a good sized drop, but prices for nice condition units at auction are staying strong in the $550-$600 range.

Some dealers, especially those that sponsor the forums, have sold out of the LTDs.

But $1200 in a down economy towards the end of the traditional detecting season is a tough sell. Even for a great detector with a limited run.

That's probably why several dealers still have them in stock. As a matter of fact, one big midwestern dealer is selling them with a nice free accessory package that includes a Lesche digger, Fisher pinpointer, headphones, carry bag and more.
