How Suited Is the X-Terra As a Relic Machine?

Relic

New member
I'm looking for a mid-priced detector that does a creditable job on relics in the woods, for example, as well as coinshooting. The X-Terra looks like it has a number of features that I'm interested in.
Thanks!

As a relic hunter things that are important: True All-metal, light weight, easy to use, depth.

I can know when you get into some sites you need the versatility of all the features above not to mention the ground balancing.
If you would like certain questions answered, Just post them and someone here will answer them.

Keep in mind that while the All-Metal mode is a true all metal mode (no discrimination) and offers target & tone ID, it is still a MOTION mode unlike some relic detectors where the all-metal mode is non-motion. Not a big difference for most hunters but there are some relic hunters that would want to know there is a difference and motion is required.

Is there any performance difference between all metal and disc mode with disc set wide open to accept everything?

On the X-50, you have 2 patterns which you can toggle between by pressing the PATTERNS touchpad and the All Metal mode which you access by pressing the ALL METAL touchpad.

This way you can have a pattern and switch from that to all metal by using the two touchpads.

On the X-30, you have 1 pattern and All Metal so you toggle between these two modes.

The ALl Metal mode does not allow you to accept / reject any targets which is the big difference between the All Metal mode and a Pattern with everything accepted; i.e., you can reject one segment and accept all others in Patterns but not All Metal.
