How to get a girl detecting!

Hello,
I began detecting about 4 years ago. My hubby and I lived on this property that had a hundred year history. And as I was into bottle collecting anyway, I thought about the possible relics and coins that might be hidden. One day I borrowed his Whites Goldmaster detector, and with a few tips and instructions, began detecting under the clothesline for possible coin drops. After a full day of digging a trillion rusty nails and horseshoes, I was ready to toss the detector into the scrub, when my hubby suggests trying around the old water tanks. I did. After 15 minutes, I dug up a 1940 penny, and another soon after! Well, I could have fallen over from excitement! I was hooked from then on. Some time passed and we'd been going out gold prospecting, but relics and coins were always on the back of my mind. Five months ago my hubby bought the Quattro for me, after considering a few different models. I don't know why we didn't get one earlier, just one of those "get round to it" things, I suppose. Just a short while ago, he says to me, "do you remember those coins you dug up at the other house?", and I say "Yes", and he says :I buried them there at the tanks, knowing you'd eventually find them!", and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, but the trick worked! I'm out at every opportunity detecting, and found some incredible finds. I can thank my hubby for that! This trick might work for you!
Happy hunting! Angela

but then he started seeing the bikini posts on the other forums and decided the hobby was for him!!! LOL!

Hi Bobbie,
It's nice to hear from another girl who enjoys detecting. Not too many female relic hunters here in Australia from what I've gathered.
Just as well I enjoy my own company!
Cheers, Angela
