How well do deeptech's unmask in iron?

I made a post on another forum asking which detector will unmask a coin lying 2"+ under a bed of rusty old nails like you sometimes find around old houses and farmsteads. Are there any of the deeptech series that will hit a coin in such conditions?

Many variables there NCtoad, how big is the coin and how big are the nails, but I'm sure the Vista's would hit it from one direction to give you a high tone to investigate. Maybe the Vista Gold would have the best chance as it's a very edgy machine.

As Ziggy said there are variables but it will probably hit it in one direction, the catch is that you might dismiss it as hitting a flat piece of iron. If it is "defined audio" in any direction with a bed of nails like that, dig it. Sure your going to dig some iron but you will also have some good finds.. Richard
