How's the 5" Excellerator coil work on the Ex II ???

its works great. it takes a long time to scan an area,a real long time, but you wont miss much, pinpointing is spot on,good target seperation, and i would say i loose about 20%percent of the depth at the most so thats fair. i would use mine all the time if i searched areas that were full of junk but my spots are very clean and wide open so it gets little use.

Agreed, this little EXcelerator coil is amazing, I highly reccomend it, you'll get great depth and pinpoint is a snap (although it's also a snap with the 10.5"), I've dug clad dimes @ 12" with the 5" EXcelerator. I don't know about the Sunray because I've never used it, but I'm pretty sure it's the same for depth, as for quality I'm pretty sure the Sunray is better (the EXcelerator is of excellent quality).
