Omega. A close #2 pick is the Gamma. The T2, for me, would come in 3rd.

is the t2 good for coin hunting all i seach for is older coins or is it only good for relic hunting
or is the fisher f75 se the way to go are they about the same detector.
Yes, the T2 can work okay for old coin/silver coin searches. It is well respected for it's depth of detection. That said, it ranks third on my personal list for the following reasons.:
1.. "
Theory" has long suggested that lower-frequency models can handle bad ground better, and be more responsive to higher-conductive. The Omega operates at 7.8 kHz Vs 13 kHz.for the T2. (NOTE: I mentioned 'theory' but have found that to not always be so true with some detector designs.)
2.. Most of the time, avid coin hunters rely on the best visual TID and VDI info they can get. The Omega's have always demonstrated a much better 'Lock-On' than the T2's, and I have owned and used several of each model. I personally use the Omega, preferring it for the visual ID info being 'tighter' and locking on better.
3.. The Teknetics Gamma works very similar to the Omega, lacking a few quick-access adjustments on-the-fly, but the TID and VDI will still lock on a bit better than the T2.
The F-75 and T2 are not quite the same detectors. I know of several people who have used both the T2 and F-75 but preferred the Omega (or Gamma on occasion) to those higher-frequency models when it came to hunting older-use sites. There is no such thing as a 'perfect' detector from any maker, so we just pick the ones that work the best for us.
