Hum Level....

Hello everyone,

I read the posts everyday and i always find some useful info here. When i got my T2 i never used the all metal mode as i usually coinshoot in trashy areas, but i have pkayed around with it for the last couple of days and correct me if i'm wrong but if i set the hum threshold to positive in the all metal mode it will carry over into the discrimination mode? I now hear a lot of faint signals that i didn't hear before after i moved the hum level to +1. also, i am AMAZED at the battery life in the T2, in the other 3 detectors that i had, i would change batteries at least twice as much...maybe 3 times. Still finding a lot of goodies and the depth is remarkable.

You know, I haven't checked that. I thought that the disc mode was a "silent search" mode. However, I think some of that may be from setting the machine up in all metal and then switching to disc. as described in my post below. Interested theory. I'll have to check that out. Thanks!

maybe so? I keep saying "threshold" which is what it's called on the F75, but called "hum" on T2. I sound like a broken record, but when I run the T2 "hot" on all metal (90+) I turn the hum level down into negative a little to minimize the chatter......

Bill
